..........this is a story of passage. And it is the story of a place.. a place where a departing generation entrusts its cultural legacy to those who will carry on. A place where they tell - in some cases for the last time - what it was really like. The stories are as countless, yet as distinctive, as snowflakes. For just a little while longer we can hear them directly from the mouths of those who wrote them. We can hear many of them here.. in a forum called "Warbirds in Review." "I smiled, I teared up, I laughed, I recalled history and friends and people lost whom I never met.. The writing is beautiful... on point, thoughtful, simple, clear, moving". David Hartman said it very well:

Exclusive personal interviews, are blended with historical footage - to make this DVD entertaining, educational and moving.  The "best of the best".  Filmed in High Definition.

In July of 2002 a special program made it's debut during Oshkosh "Airventure".

The EAA "Warbirds of America" host two presentations each day featuring a veteran speaking in front of an airplane they flew.  This has become one of the most popular events attended by hundreds twice daily.  During "Airventure" 2007, through the generosity of private sponsors, the programs were filmed by "Sleeping Dog Productions".  This DVD includes the "Warbirds in Review" presentations and much
more.  "Sleeping Dog" filmed extensive interview with these individuals and has blended their stories with historical footage to produce this collectors DVD.

Connie Bowlin is the coordinator for "Warbirds in Review".  With the assistance of her husband Ed, the dedicated volunteers and "Sleeping Dog Productions", an opportunity to hear living history is now a reality.  If you have enjoyed the Oshkosh presentations, you'll appreciate hearing more in-depth interviews.  If you haven't seen them in person, this is your chance.  A special thanks to Epps Aviation, Eastern Aviation Fuels, Wilson Air Centers, Aviation Autographs ..and of course, the veterans and aircraft owners for making this DVD possible.  We know you'll enjoy.
