The
Tribute to Aces Symposium
was a great success! |
Five of the most noted names
in Aviation History were
with us at the Rabun
County Civic Center in
Clayton, Georgia on
Friday
October 3, 2003 for the
Aviation Autographs "Tribute
to Aces" Symposium. We
extend a special thanks to
the Aces who attended:
C.E. “Bud”
Anderson -
David Lee “Tex” Hill
Robin Olds -Günther Rall
-
and Chuck Yeager
Following
a special dinner, these five
Aviation Legends entertained
everyone with their amazing
stories. Following the
panel discussion
hosted by David
Hartman, everyone had an
opportunity to personally
meet and spend time with the
Aces. For many, it was
a night that will certainly
not soon be forgotten!
In conjunction with this
event, four new "Tribute to
Aces" prints by famed
Aviation artist, Jim Laurier
were produced featuring each
of these famous aviators!
The limited edition
lithographs are signed by
the Aces and are now
available for sale through
our website.

Aviation Autographs
thanks everyone who attended
and volunteers who supported
this event!
In 2007
two of our very special
friends, Tex Hill and Robin
Olds made their final
flight. During our
last visit with Tex, a few
days before he passed away,
he held our hands and said
"see you at the next round
up". We are honored to
call them our friends and
will continue to pay tribute
to them, doing our part to
make sure that future
generations remember these
"Great Americans".
